America 250 Event at Veterans Park

The Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial will host a special event in recognition of our nation’s 250th birthday with a reading of the Declaration of Independence.
At 9 a.m. on July 4, 2026, a reading of the Declaration of Independence will take place at the American Revolution site at the Memorial. Following the reading, 56 community leaders — each representing one of the 56 original signers of the Declaration — will sign a commemorative document.
This event is free to attend and open to the public.
