Applications Open for Arts & Culture Development Grant

Applications are open for the next round of the Arts & Culture Development Grant. The grant is funded by Hotel Occupancy Tax revenues and supports projects and programs that elevate arts and culture in our community. Applicants should also demonstrate how their proposal promotes Bryan as a tourism destination and attracts visitors to our city. Applications close Sept. 11.
The City of Bryan’s Arts and Culture Development Grant, funded through Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) revenues collected within Bryan, TX, provides organizations with financial support for projects and programs that develop and elevate the arts and culture in the community and directly enhance and promote Bryan as a tourism destination.
Grant amounts will generally range from $2,500 to $25,000 based on recommendations from the Arts and Culture Development Grant Review Committee. No more than $25,000 will be awarded to a single project or program.
The current grant cycle covers programs falling within Oct. 1, 2025 – Sept. 30, 2026.
Applications for fiscal year 2026-2027 (Oct. 1, 2026 – Sept. 30, 2027) are due before 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026.
Who is Eligible?
Programs and projects that develop and elevate the arts and culture in Bryan and enhance and promote Bryan as a tourism destination are eligible. This may include instrumental and vocal music, dance, drama, folk art, creative writing, architecture, design and allied fields, painting, sculpture, photography, graphic and craft arts, motion pictures, radio, television, tape and sound recording, and other arts related to the presentation, execution and exhibition of these major art forms that attract visitors from outside the community.
Funded projects and programs must provide tangible arts and cultural experiences that are accessible to the public and demonstrate a clear connection to tourism. Applicants must make a credible case that their project or program will attract visitors from outside the Bryan-College Station area and/or generate overnight stays.
While applicants are not required to have matching funds for their program or project, a diverse base of financial support (private giving, public funding, additional grants, etc.) is highly encouraged. The grant is intended to provide funding to initiate, enhance, or complete an arts and cultural project or program. Grant funds are not intended to serve as ongoing operational support for organizations.
