The Astin Mansion
Where Timeless Celebrations Come to Life.
Built in 1920 by Roger Q. and Nina Heard Astin, The Astin Mansion is a striking example of grand 1920s architecture and Southern elegance. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Astin Mansion remains a cherished historic landmark within the Bryan community.
The Astin family were prominent local figures and owners of Rivermist, a cotton plantation. After Roger Astin’s death at age 39, Nina Heard Astin raised their two children and became well known for her generosity and civic involvement. Outliving both children and leaving no heirs, she bequeathed the estate to the community through the Nina Heard Astin and Nina Bess Astin Charitable Trust.
In 1998, the mansion was renovated into a special events venue. Today, it is one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Bryan/College Station, earning “Best Wedding Venue” honors from The Knot magazine and widespread acclaim.
